Palia Pal's calculator takes your number of tiles, Preserves Jars and Seed Collectors and tells you which crop earns the most with them, and whether your garden or your crafters are the limit.
Gold per tile of garden
Gold every real hour (normal and ★ quality) from one tile of garden, with enough jars and seed collectors to use the best way for every crop, minus replanting (seeds from the shop or the Seed Collector, whichever is cheaper; seeds bought with guild tokens count as free). A 2×2 crop takes 4 tiles, a 3×3 tree 9. Watered every Palia day, no Harvest Boost.

What a crafter adds
Gold an hour a Preserves Jar or Seed Collector adds over selling the crop raw, when you keep it full. Jars come out nearly the same for every crop.

Questions
What is the most profitable crop in Palia?
Per tile of garden, Bok Choy earns the most: about 37.5 gold a tile every real hour (54.9 at ★ quality) if you turn it into seeds. Fast crops win because a Palia day is one real hour, so a 3-day crop is ready every 3 hours.
Is it better to preserve crops or sell them?
A Preserves Jar adds about the same whatever you put in it: 24–33 gold an hour over selling the crop raw (36–49 at ★), because slower preserves are worth more. So preserve whatever you have, and let the garden decide what to grow.
Apple Jam or Canned Pumpkin?
Canned Pumpkin looks better per jar (101 gold in 31.5 minutes against Apple Jam's 96 in 76), but a raw Rockhopper Pumpkin already sells for 88, so over selling raw the jar adds about the same for both: 25 gold an hour for pumpkins, 25 for apples. The garden is the bigger difference: apples give 22.8 gold a tile an hour, pumpkins 13.5.
Should I make seeds instead?
For some crops a Seed Collector beats the jar: Bok Choy, Cotton, Potato, Rice, Wheat, Batterfly Beans are worth more as seeds than sold or preserved. Seeds also let you replant for free.
How long do crops take to grow in Palia?
Crops count in Palia days, and a Palia day is one real hour: a 3-day crop is ready 3 hours after planting if you water it every Palia day. Trees and bushes grow back after their first harvest (e.g. 12 + 6/6/6 days).
