Color and Dye Customization

The Color and Dye system in Palia allows for the Player to use thousands of preset colors to customize their character's hair colors, makeup colors, and outfit colors.

Description

The Color and Dye system includes 15 in-game "brands" that reflect some of the clothing brands you might see as Outfits in the Premium Store. Each brand provides several various color palettes with individual colors that the player can pick and choose from, which are used to customize the colors of the Player's hair, makeup, eyes, and clothing. Each brand has several palettes within, providing a range of hues and shades to select from. Each color costs Tailor Tickets to unlock, with a single color being priced at only 1 Tailor Ticket. The player has the option to purchase an entire palette at once, which can have up to 25 colors, or purchase an individual color from a palette.

All brands and palettes are shared between hair, makeup, and outfits, except for Back to Basics, which has different colors for each category. This means if you buy a color or palette, it will be available across all categories, so no need to purchase a color more than once!

Brands and Colors

Each brand provides a different color aesthetic, giving the player plenty of options to suit their style best. Below is a list of different brands and the palettes they provide.

Hair and Makeup Color System

The Color system allows hair to be customized with up to two solid colors for head hair, and one solid color for eyebrows. Makeup options can be customized with only one solid color per section (Lipstick, Blush, Eyeliner).

The player is able to either purchase one color from a palette for their hair and makeup, or may purchase a whole palette fully to gain permanent access to every color.

Eyes and Outfit Dye System

The Dye system for outfits and eyes works slightly differently compared to hair and makeup. Each outfit can have up to four dyeable sections, which can only be dyed by using an entire palette on each section, while eyes will only be able to select one color palette per each eye.

The player cannot use a single color on an outfit section or eye. Due to this, it is necessary to purchase an entire palette at once, which can cost up to 25 Tailor Tickets per palette. However, since these palettes are shared across all customization systems, these unlocked palettes and their colors can also be used on hair and makeup.

Currently, not all outfits have been introduced to the Dye System just yet as of Patch 0.203, though a majority of outfits are compatible with it.

Special Color Palettes

While most color palettes are obtainable by gaining Tailor Tickets through natural gameplay, a small portion of palettes are only obtainable through paid purchase or limited time events, such as the Premium Store or Lunar Paths.
