Luna New Year is an annual limited-time event that takes place at the Maji Market on the Fairgrounds, accessed in the southeast corner of Kilima Valley.

Summary

The hotpot is bubbling, the lanterns are lit, the chapaas are chirping, and that can only mean one thing: the Maji Market is in town and ready to celebrate the Luna New Year!

For one month, the Villagers will host a lively night market, full of food, games, and festivities, to welcome the Luna New Year—a time of new beginnings and community. Join the Palian residents during this special event and take part in the holiday's cherished customs and traditions. Pull up a seat, grab a snack, and discover everything this installment of the Maji Market has to offer.

Activities

The Player will receive a letter from Kenli to let them know the Luna New Year themed Maji Market is in town. The vendors and games are accessible from 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM Palia time, so be sure to check it out as soon as it starts getting dark. Once the Player gets to the Fairgrounds, they'll be able to enjoy returning player-favorite activities, such as chapaas to chase and completing Stamp Cards. There will also be a dazzling new prize wheel and various hotpots where players can "cook up" some extra fun (and event currency!).

Chapaa Chase

A returning Maji Market amusement, the Chapaa Chase is a multiplayer activity where participants must run around the fairgrounds collecting escaped chapaas to earn Lucky Envelopes. This time-limited game is active from 12:10 AM to 2:10 AM Palia time.

Hidden Rewards

Search high and low to unveil all the secret chests hidden in new locations with new rewards.

Hotpot Minigame

On the docks of the Fairgrounds, players will find large hotpot tables, where they can join others to participate in the Hotpot Minigame. Once the Player gets the hang of it, they can potentially earn large amounts of Lucky Envelopes and even some Luna New Year Coins.

Stamp Cards

If players are unsure of what to do while visiting the market, they can check the Events tab to view the current Stamp Cards. These cards not only provide specific goals to accomplish, they also reward the Player handsomely for their efforts!

Wish Tree

At the center of the festive fairgrounds stands the magnificent Wish Tree, full of ribbons, color, and hopes for the new year. To celebrate prosperity and bring good luck, players can join in on the Maji tradition of making wishes and who knows — their wish might even be granted! Each real-world day upon login, the Player receives a letter from Chayne that includes a Blank Wish Ribbon. The wish ribbon can be brought to the Luna New Year celebration to make wishes.

To make a wish, dye the Blank Wish Ribbon at the dye station and bring it to the tree, which shows a special cutscene interaction. The following night, check at a small shrine by the Wish Tree, to see if Maji granted the wish.

• Ribbon dyed blue will grant a Gift of Luck that awards the Player with 200 Lucky Envelopes
• Ribbon dyed orange will grant a Gift of Prosperity that awards the Player with 200 Gold
• Ribbon dyed pink will grant a Gift of Longevity that awards the Player with 5 Renown

It is during this tradition that we inscribe our wishes for the coming year on a wish ribbon, which we will then dye in the color corresponding to the type of wish we are making.

Blue represents wishes relating to luck, pink for longevity, and orange for prosperity.

Once we have dyed our ribbons, we will hang them on our beloved wish tree in hopes they will come true.

I have attached a blank wish ribbon to this letter just for you. Please join me at the Maji Market tonight to make your wish.
