Description

Muujimothy - also lovingly nicknamed Jimothy or Jimmy by the Palia community - is a variant of Muujin that has the appearance of a short, scrunched-up spine, a small tail, tiny legs, and a dark mask-like pattern around the eyes. Muujimothy seems capable of spawning with the appearance of any of the three pattern and color variants of Muujin (Common, Banded, and Bluebristle).

Location

Muujimothy can be found in the northern half of Bahari Bay, most commonly near and around Tamala's House in the Thorny Thicket. Muujimothy is a very rare spawn, and can be easy to miss if the player is not attentive, so keeping an eye out for any Muujins that look oddly smaller than usual is imperative.

Behavior

Muujimothy has the same behavior as other Muujins, and will casually roam the locations they are found in. When approached by a player, they will attempt to run away. After a set amount of time, they will run towards a medium or large tree and jump into it.

When alerting a Muujimothy, it may jump into a Flow-Infused Tree. When this happens, a Common Muujimothy will then turn into a Banded Muujimothy. If it jumps into a second Flow Tree, it will then turn into a Bluebristle Muujimothy. The higher the tier of Muujimothy, the more likely it is to drop a plush when felled. A Bluebristle Muujimothy has a guaranteed chance to drop a Muujimothy Plush.

Hunting

Muujimothy has ?? Health and requires ?? hits with a Standard Arrow or ?? hits with Fine Arrow to be felled.

Common etiquette when hunting Muujimothy with other players is to avoid shooting it if it is not already a Bluebristle Muujimothy. Instead, players will chase it into a flow tree, allowing the Muujimothy to become a higher tier of Muujin and have a higher chance of dropping a Muujimothy Plush. When finding a Muujimothy, calling it out to the server with the coordinates where it was located and waiting for others to gather is considered an unspoken social rule.

In order for everyone to obtain the loot from a hunted Muujimothy, the best tactic is for all or multiple players to "tap" the tree he is hiding in, by using their axe and hitting the tree one time, before eventually cutting it down. This may be more difficult with standard trees, but is more doable when Muujimothy is hiding in a Flow Tree, as the tree will regenerate its health. Every player who hits the tree will receive the loot from hunted Muujins hiding within the tree.

Trivia

  • Muujimothy is a Palia-based version of the viral short-spined raccoon named "Jimothy" online. The addition of Muujimothy was not quite officially announced as a true addition to the game, but can be found on the official Palia X account on July 24th 2026 with a post simply captioned "muujimothy" and an accompanying image. It wasn't until Patch 0.206 released when players began to officially find Muujimothy in-game.
