Description
The Elder Shmole is an uncommon variant of the mushroom-like creature that burrows in the caves and rocks of the Elderwood. It is identified by its wide purple cap with green stripes on the back. It has a pair of small green eyes to match and feathery eyebrows on top. Underneath, it sports luminscent green underside and deep purple stem-like body with arms that flare at the wrist.
When infected, it can be differentiated from its other variants by its bright green eyes.
Location
Shmoles can be found in Elderwood caves, specifically in:
Behavior
Shmoles live communally in in vast networks of tunnels called Shmole Holes. These openings are marked by mounds of dirt and can be found on the ground, walls, or even ceilings of caves or rocks. Shmole have no issue hanging upside down from the roof of a cavern.
Shmoles never leave their tunnels. When at ease, Shmoles peacefully idle above ground, swaying back and forth in spot and occasionally letting out a deep clicking grunt. However, when startled by Humans or crossfire from Arrows or Smoke Bombs, they dive into the tunnels for safety and emerge from a different hole a moment later.
Hunting
Elder Shmoles have (TBA) Health and require (TBA) hits with Fine Arrow or above to be felled.
Like Muujins and Ogopuus, Elder Shmoles can be infected with Infected Essence, and require either Elderwood Arrows or the Bag of Illusion IV to hunt.
An infected Elder Shmole will drop
10 - 13 Infected Essence when caught.
