How to get a Flutterfox

1. 1Finish “Like a Bird”

   To unlock ranching, you must first complete the quest Like a Bird. Once you have earned your Glider, Delaila will arrive at your Housing Plot and gift you the recipe for the Barn Bell.

2. 2Reach Ranching level 10

   The Flutterfox can be quite elusive, and requires a bit of effort in order to find. Obtaining your own Flutterfox first requires reaching Ranching level 10, and finding some Flutterhoney, after which Elouisa may have some unique dialogue that can help you find your first Flutterfox.

3. 3Buy it at the register

   Additional Flutterfoxes can be purchased from the Ranching Guild Store for 2500 gold

What it produces 1

Silky Fluff1-3 per cycle

Rule — Animals at the Baby or Venerated Age do not produce items or breed. Adult animals will produce specific items based on the species, each with a limit on how many they can carry. Item production is affected by the animals overall happiness as well as how many of the same species you have. If you’re over the species cap, it will slow down production of items. Production, happiness and focus are explained in the Ranching guide.

The Flutterfox has the ability Silky Coat. Once reaching age Young Adult or older, it will begin producing Silky Fluff, which can be used as an alternative to Silk Thread.

Note: Amount of products dropped may vary depending on your animal's Traits.

Traits

Flutterfoxes can have a variety of traits that influence their happiness, focus, production speed, and lifespan. Traits can be inherited through breeding or discovered when purchasing new Flutterfoxes.

Looks only — no effect on production or breeding. A Flutterfox can carry one of each.
