Hosting a party

Set it up in a minute, then let Palia Pal handle sign-ups, reminders and who brings what.

Host a party

Setting it up

  1. Kind: cooking (pick the dish and how many), bug catching, hunting, fishing (pick what), foraging, mining, an event run, or anything else.
  2. When and how long, and how many people, you included.
  3. Where: your plot or a region, and a map square if it helps.
  4. How people join: World ID, friends list, Discord or ask for an invite.
  5. Post it, then share the link. Followers of yours and people watching for that kind get a notification.

Roles

  • Cooking: one role per ingredient, with the amount for all the dishes. Set how many extra people a role can take ("more welcome").
  • Easy role: hold one spot for Switch players or anyone whose game crashes on the busy parts.
  • Waiting list: when it's full, people can wait; the first one moves in when someone leaves.
  • Sign-ups close when it starts by default, or earlier (15, 30, 60 minutes before), or stay open until it ends.

Instructions and rules

How this party works takes your own instructions, with a little formatting: **bold**, lines starting with "- " for a list, "# " for a heading. Then tick the rules you want:

  • No pets, animated outfits or nameplates (fewer disconnects)
  • Bring focus food
  • Bring the right tool
  • Please be on time
  • Stay till the end
  • Giveaway at the end
  • Join the Discord first

Ask people to arrive early (10 to 60 minutes) and their reminder comes before that. Tick I'll stream or record it so people know before they sign up.

Your World ID

Add it when you host or later from the party page. People signed up see it with a Copy button as soon as it's there, and get a notification. It never shows to anyone else.

Running the party

  • Announcements reach everyone signed up as a notification (and in Discord, a ping under the card).
  • Chat: you write; guests reply with one tap. Host lines: Plot is open!, Starting now!, The plot is full, hang on, Short break, back soon, That's a wrap, thank you!.
  • Attendance: once it starts, tick Came or No-show for each person. Only you see it.
  • Take off or Ban anyone, including people who already left, or ban an in-game name that was never at your parties (People I've banned).
  • Records: next to each name you see how often they came to the parties they signed up for (from hosts' attendance ticks).
  • See when each person signed up, to be fair about extra spots.

Streaming your party

Tick I'll stream or record it so people know before they sign up. Then add the stream overlay to OBS or Streamlabs: your party page has the link (Stream overlay → Copy). It's a browser source that shows the party you have on now or your next one, with a countdown, how many are going, the roles that still need someone and the sign-up link, and it updates itself. One link works for every party you host. Overlay options.

Palia Pal Supporters can add their own logo, an overlay background and a banner across the top of their parties and host page, from the same Stream overlay card.

Running it again

Set Repeats and the next one is posted when this one starts. Or tap Host this again on any of your parties to start from the same setup.

Questions

How do I host a party in Palia?

In Palia Pal: Social → Parties → Host a party. Pick the kind (for cooking, the dish and how many), the time, how long, how many people and where, then post it. You can share it, and people sign up for roles.

Who sees my World ID?

Only people signed up for your party, and only from the moment you add it. Add it when you host or any time later; everyone signed up gets a notification when you share or change it.

Can I make a weekly party?

Yes. Set Repeats to every day, every week, or every few hours. When one starts, the next one is posted with the same setup and fresh sign-ups.

What if someone causes trouble?

Take them off the party, or ban them from all your parties (even after they've left). You can undo a ban from the party page.

How many parties can I host?

Up to 3 coming up at a time, up to two weeks ahead, each from 15 minutes to 4 hours and 2 to 40 people.
