Joining a party

Everything from finding the right party to showing up on time with the right things in your bags.

Find a party

Before you sign up

  • A Palia Pal account with your in-game name (Settings → Account), spelled exactly as in the game, so the host can find you.
  • Notifications on (Settings → Notifications), for the reminder, the World ID and the host's announcements. You choose which: reminders and changes, announcements, chat.
  • The recipe or tools the party needs. Cooking parties list what each role brings; hunts and bug parties say what gear helps.

Finding a party

  • Filter by kind (cooking, hunting, bug catching…) and day (today, tomorrow, this week). Palia Pal remembers your filters.
  • Tell me about new parties: pick kinds, or a dish, bug, creature or fish, and get a notification when someone hosts one.
  • Follow a host you like from their party page, and hear whenever they host. Tap a host's name for their page: what they have coming up, what they ran this week, and their record.
  • Search by party, dish, host or Discord server, and see the Finished ones from the last week, newest first.
  • The badges tell you up front: Streamed means the host streams or records it, repeats means it runs on a schedule.

Signing up

  • Pick a role. In a cooking party each ingredient is a role with the amount for the whole batch. "More welcome" roles take extra people.
  • Add what you bring to your shopping list with one tap.
  • Full? Join the waiting list: first in, first moved up, with a notification.
  • Sign-ups close at a time the host picks (usually when it starts).
  • Can't make it after all? Leave the party so the next person on the waiting list gets your spot.

Getting into the host's world

  1. Check How to join on the party page: World ID, friends list, Discord, or ask for an invite.
  2. For a World ID, tap Copy and use it in game.
  3. For the friends list, add the host by their in-game name, or accept their request.
  4. Be there by the time the page says, if the host asks people to arrive early.

Stuck? Tap a quick reply like Can't find the World ID or Can I get an invite? and the host gets it at once.

During the party

Guests talk with quick replies so nobody types mid-cook: On my way, I'm here, Sent you a friend request, I'm in your world, Can't find the World ID, Can I get an invite?, Running a few minutes late, Disconnected, rejoining, My part's done, Thanks for hosting!, That was fun!, plus stickers. The host can write, and posts announcements everyone sees.

Hosts often ask for a few things; the party page lists them:

  • No pets, animated outfits or nameplates (fewer disconnects)
  • Bring focus food
  • Bring the right tool
  • Please be on time
  • Stay till the end
  • Giveaway at the end
  • Join the Discord first

Afterwards, tap Thanks for hosting!: it counts on the host's page, so good hosts are easy to find.

Questions

How do I join a Palia party?

Open Social → Parties in Palia Pal, pick a party and tap Take this role. When it starts, copy the host's World ID from the party page (or add the host as a friend) and join them in game.

Where do I find the World ID?

On the party page, under How to join, once you've signed up. Only the host and people signed up can see it, and you get a notification when the host shares or changes it.

What if the party is full?

Join the waiting list. If someone leaves, the first person waiting moves in and gets a notification.

What does "be there by" mean?

Some hosts ask everyone to arrive a few minutes early (people often call it the sync) so the party can start on time. Your reminder comes before that time, not the start.

Can I sign up for two parties at once?

Yes, but Palia Pal warns you when the times overlap.
