A Catalyzing Caper

Objectives

Part 1

You've found another Flow battery, and the door it goes to in the process! Meet Hassian, Sifuu, and Tau inside the mysterious temple door where you found the battery.

Tau has run ahead alone! Figure out how to solve the puzzle to open the door and find him. Maybe some arrows will do the trick?

Hassian is going to hang back and do one last sweep for Tau. Venture on ahead and explore the temple.

Your spelunking through the temple has brought you to a mysterious door concealing a mysterious mural. Maybe Sifuu has an idea?

The mural was hiding a maze behind it. It seems like the message on the plaque might be related - is there a story you need to piece together inside?

Part 6

With the maze completed, it's time to return to Hassian to figure out your next steps!

Part 7

With the maze completed, the group can make it to the final chamber - or can they? Meet Hassian in the main room to find out.

Part 8

The door ahead is blocked, but something in the main chamber has changed! Maybe Sifuu has some thoughts on the mysterious murals that have appeared here... and the familiar symbols beneath them.

With the puzzle solved, the path is clear! Meet Hassian and Sifuu in the final chamber, where hopefully Tau awaits!

You've finally been reunited with a familiar friend, near a familiar looking puzzle. Could this be what Tau has been after?

With the puzzle solved and a family reunited, it's time to wrap up! Talk to Hassian in the final chamber and say your goodbyes.

Walkthrough

1. Head to the Temple of the Flames, the place where you found the Flickering Flow Battery. This place is next to the Flooded Fortress.
2. Interact with the door to enter the Ruins. Talk to Hassian inside.
   • Don't forget to talk to Sifuu and Hassian for additional dialogue!
3. Solve the first riddle!
   • Read the engraving on the door at the end of the corridor.
   • Hint:
     Show the spoiler

     The engraving on the door at the end of the corridor has the solution to the puzzle in the first line.

     To solve the first riddle, shoot an arrow into the three cauldrons which have their signs displayed above the corridor to light them up, starting with the one closest to Hassian and Sifuu. Any kind of arrow works.
4. Inform Hassian that the door opened and you can all move forward. Explore the temple.
   • This room is known as the Foyer
5. Talk to Sifuu and don't forget to inspect all the murals.
6. Hassian will inform you that one of the doors are unlocked. Enter the Mysterious Chamber.
7. Read the plaque on the Phoenix statue.
   • Talk to Hassian for a hint as to what to do next!
8. Talk to Sifuu if she has any idea how to proceed forward. She will give you her torch after overhearing you read the plague.
9. Solve the Second riddle!
   • Hint:

     The riddle on the statue talks about the "light of flame"
   • Answer:

     Take the Sifuu's Torch torch and light it from the cauldron. Take the Lit Torch lit torch and light the brazier.
   • Congratulations for discovering a hidden door! Bask in the glory of the sliding mural.
   • Remember this trick because you will need it!
10. Complete the maze.
    • There are 3 maze rooms. Each room has a flame cauldron.
    • First Maze Room: Climb up to reach the platform with the mural. Light the brazier with Sifuu's Torch and watch the mural slide open.
    • Second Maze Room: Climb up to reach the platform with the mural. Light the brazier with Sifuu's Torch and watch the mural slide open.
    • Third Maze Room: Follow the path and don't forget to use your glider! Use the flame cauldron to light your torch. Climb up to reach the platform with the mural. Light the brazier with Sifuu's Torch in the middle of the room.
11. Congratulations on completing the maze! Go back to Hassian and Sifuu to update them. Talk to Hassian to see what he wants to do next.
12. Hassian asked you to meet him near the final chamber. Head back to the Foyer and take a right. Hassian will be waiting for you in front of the locked doors. Talk to him.
    • You will notice four brazier, two on each side, of the final chamber's door. Hassian wants you to figure out what they are for.
13. Talk to Sifuu to see if she remembers the story about the Kitsuu she used to tell Hassian. She will tell you the story.
    • Did you notice something? The story corresponds to the murals you saw!
    • Sifuu will repeat the story again as long as you have not completed this quest objective.
14. Open the door to the final chamber!
    • Take a good look at the murals. Under each one you will find a sign that corresponds to a brazier.
    • Shoot the braziers with an arrow in the same chronological order as the story displayed under by the murals.
15. Talk to Hassian and Sifuu before heading into the final chamber. See if they have anything to say. Once inside, you are met with another Phoenix Statue.
16. Past the Phoenix Statue is... Is that Tau and a Kitsuu?! Talk to Hassian and Sifuu. Figure out a way to cross.
    • Take a leap of faith and walk straight into the lava, or jump and use your glider.
17. Before getting too close, admire the Kitsuu. Then talk to Tau to see how he is doing.
18. Walk over to the Mural Puzzle and interact with it to solve it.
    • Hint:

      You can reset the puzzle any time by pressing (default, on PC).
    • Answer:

      You need to move the tiles in the following way: 1) Move the tile left of the gap to the right. 2) Move the tile below the gap up. 3) Move the tile left of the gap to the right. 4) Move the tile above the gap down. 5) Move the tile right of the gap to the left. 6) Move the tile below the gap up. 7) Move the tile left of the gap to the right. 8) Move the tile above the gap down. 9) Move the tiles in the first row to the left until the image is completed.
    • After completing the puzzle you will see a cinematic of the Night Sky Temple where the second pedestal lights up.
    • Jina will contact you via mail as soon as you complete the puzzle and unlock the second bundle.
19. Admire the Kitsuu puzzle and then talk to Hassian.
    • You can also ask Hassian to get you out of there.
